The morning after their intimate elopement at Dunluce Castle, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Michaela and Dylan—an adventurous couple from the USA —to the farm for a truly special experience.

We started the morning slowly, just as it should be—tea and a homemade scone by the fire in the drawing room of our 1700s farmhouse. Michaela had grown up riding horses Western-style, while Dylan had only been on a horse a handful of times. They came to us with different levels of experience, but that’s exactly what we love. We’re well set up for mixed-ability couples, and we tailored the experience to suit them both—steady, comfortable, and confidence-building.

After tea, we took a relaxed walk around the farm to meet some of our horses and take in the stillness of the countryside. Down at the stables, they met their horses for the day and spent a bit of time grooming and bonding—a lovely way to settle into the rhythm of the ride ahead.

Then it was off to the coast in our classic Land Rover Defender. Michaela and Dylan rode together across the sweeping sands of Benone Strand, all the way to the dramatic backdrop of Downhill Beach, with Mussenden Temple watching from above. We wrapped up the morning with one final touch: a proper Irish coffee back at the farmhouse, shared in the stillness of the post-ride glow. A quiet moment to toast to their next chapter.
